The Web Bluetooth API allows Chrome and Edge browsers to connect directly to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices without any additional software. This is the simplest connection method: click "Connect Device" in HaptiQ, select your device from the browser's Bluetooth picker, and you are connected.

2. Buttplug.io (Intiface Central)

Buttplug.io is an open-source middleware protocol that provides a universal device abstraction layer. HaptiQ implements the Buttplug v3 raw WebSocket protocol directly (no npm dependency required) and connects to devices through the Intiface Central application.

3. Direct WiFi / Cloud API (The Handy)

HaptiQ supports connecting multiple devices simultaneously and synchronizing them to the same funscript. You can connect a stroking device for the primary axis and a vibrating device for secondary stimulation, both driven by the same or different axes of a multi-axis script.

Start with the basics. Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your computer or phone and the device is in pairing mode — most devices require holding the power button for 3–5 seconds until the LED pulses. If the device does not appear in the browser picker, your browser may not support Web Bluetooth; Firefox and Safari do not, so switch to Chrome or Edge, or use the Buttplug.io path with Intiface Central. Laggy response usually means BLE interference; close other Bluetooth connections and move closer to the device. The Handy specifically requires the correct connection key and the same WiFi network as your HaptiQ session, plus internet access for cloud-mode routing.
