Frequently asked questions

Does the TechArts USB Onacon work with funscripts?

Yes. A funscript is a device-agnostic motion file, so the same script plays on any supported hardware. HaptiQ converts the motion in a video into a funscript and streams it to your TechArts USB Onacon in time with playback.

How does the TechArts USB Onacon connect to HaptiQ?

The TechArts USB Onacon connects over a wired USB connection. Browsers cannot open a raw serial port to a toy without a bridge, so run Intiface Central (Buttplug.io) on the same machine and HaptiQ will drive the device through it. This is desktop only.

Do I need Intiface or Buttplug.io for the TechArts USB Onacon?

Yes. Because the TechArts USB Onacon connects via USB (HID), a browser cannot reach it directly. Install Intiface Central, connect the device there, and HaptiQ will drive it through Buttplug.io.

Which browsers support the TechArts USB Onacon?

Use any modern browser on a desktop machine. The USB link is handled by Intiface Central, so browser choice does not matter.

Can I generate a funscript for the TechArts USB Onacon from my own video?

Yes. Upload a video or paste a link, and HaptiQ's motion analysis produces a .funscript you can play on the TechArts USB Onacon or export for another player. Large files are uploaded in parts, so multi-gigabyte VR video is supported.

What kind of device is the TechArts USB Onacon?

The TechArts USB Onacon is an onahole. HaptiQ maps the vertical motion in a funscript onto whatever actuation the onahole provides, so scripts written for other hardware still play.
